With regret we need to inform you that from 1800 UTC on November 10 flight plan submission from AvPlan will not function until Apple approve AvPlan 2.1.2. At that time AsA will switch NAIPS to accepting only flight plans in the new ICAO 2012 format. This includes the interface AvPlan uses to send flight plans.
We were finally provided a test environment for these changes by AsA at 3pm on November 7. We did the necessary testing and submitted a revised app to Apple on Thursday but Apple will not release it in time to meet the 10th of November deadline. Apple’s usual turn around is 7-10 days, so expect to see AvPlan 2.1.2 in the App Store by the weekend of the 17th of November.
Weather forecast downloads and all other functions will operate as normal.
When AvPlan 2.1.2 is released, flight plan submission will function once again.
